Making Marbled Paper With Shaving Cream

Today i ll show you how to make marbled paper with shaving cream and liquid watercolours.

Use a craft stick to gently swirl the food coloring into the shaving cream. Press a blank piece of paper into the shaving cream. Apply a small amount of shaving cream to the pan or use wax paper so that you can make a layer that is a little wider than your cardstock sheet and about 1 4 1 25 cm thick. This marbled paper craft is one i learned was when i was taking my art education class back in college.

With the edge of a credit card scrape the shaving cream off the paper. Then take 3 4 colors of acrylic paint and put drops all over. You simply press a piece of paper into shaving cream swirled with liquid watercolours and the colours and patterns are transferred to the paper making it look marbleized. Place a piece of paper on top of the shaving cream and press it down so all of it touches.

Start by spraying shaving cream all over a cookie sheet. 2 use the back of a squeegee or you can use a ruler to spread the shaving cream out to a nice even layer. Spray a layer of shaving cream on the bottom of a tray. Take a straw and make swirl designs making sure theres still white showing.

I have a binder full of ideas and this is one i pulled out a while ago when we were making our marbled valentine hearts with shaving cream the kids had a blast the first time we did it and i wanted to make the cover for our kids art and activities binder for this school year.
