If replacing the freezer door handle remove the screws holding the handle to the freezer door.
However if the handle is loose closer to the door you have to remove the handle and tightened the screws you see when the handle is removed.
Once both screws are loose pull the damaged refrigerator handle off of the door to install a new handle.
The handles are installed by the owner or installer as directed in the installation instructions.
Some bottom freezer handles are not factory installed.

Firmly push the handle onto the door.
If either the refrigerator or freezer handle is loose or not tight against the door they might not have been installed correctly.
Place the new handle on the door for side by side doors the small screws should face the other door and ensure that the top and bottom of the handle is placed over the screws in the door.
How do i get to the screws holding it.
To do this grip the handle securly and yank the handle straight to the left and it will unclip and pull off.
Once the handle is pulled off you can tighten the screws going into the handle bracket on the freezer door and you should be good to go again.
