Without a model number i can t give you a specific answer but if you have a maytag mah style front load washer the door can be unlocked by pulling the release cord located in the dispenser area. You will have to remove the dispenser bezel trim to access the cord to pull it to open the locked door. During this period you will be able to hear the pump running.
