My rv furnace will not light.
This is a fairly common problem every rver faces.
The problem could also be that the propane tank has a bad regulator.
I changed the propane bottle for a full one and now the furnace will not light off.
My rv furnace was working yesterday.
If not i refill the tank as soon as i can.
The furnace not igniting can happen because of several reasons so whenever i have an issue like this i follow a few steps.
You can test for a bad regulator by lighting all the stove burners and examining the color of the flames.
The stove is getting propane but the flame is higher than normal.
Rv furnace works on shore power but not on battery.
If the pilot light on your rv furnace will not light check that the thermocouple is correctly positioned in the pilot flame.
A good way to test this out is to run the blower blower is apt to operate fine under 10 5 v if the blower runs then that means the battery supply may be under 10 5 v and thus its not able to open the furnace valve.
Does it need a good working battery to start.
First i check if i have any propane left.
My furnace won t light up i you can feel in the floor vents some air but shuts down pretty quick.
Rv furnace won t ignite.
If your rv furnace only works when you re connected to mains power or a generator then it s a sign your battery needs replacing or that there s corrosion.
I changed bac read more.
Rv furnace operates with a 10 5 v supply and at times if the battery is not able provide above 10 5v then the furnace wont ignite.
Both of these issues result in reduced voltage reaching the furnace and lack of power to the motor.
